FAQs
How do I order a Christine Trewinnard dress?
I usually arrange to meet my clients for a coffee at a place that is convenient for us both to discuss ideas. This is a no obligation consultation and is free of charge. Please do get in touch if you live further a field, I have made dresses for brides from all over the country, there is always a way.
What happens after the initial consultation?
Once you are happy with the design and are ready to proceed by placing an order, you will pay a 35% deposit. This is non-refundable due to the time spent in preparation of design, making of patterns and ordering of fabrics. We may have another meeting to finalise the design, and we will plan your dress fittings, which you need to allow 2 hours for. The first fitting will be arranged, you will need about 4 to 5 fittings depending on the complexity of your design.
How long will the whole process take?
The whole process can be anywhere from 3 to 6 months prior to your wedding date. But if you are on a tight time scale please do not hesitate to contact me, it has happened before and if I can fit you in I will.
How much will it cost?
It is best to meet for a chat to discuss your requirements as each garment varies enormously depending on the complexity and fabric. As all gowns are hand made specifically to order a commission will begin at £1500.
What happens on completion?
All transactions will be finalised prior to release of the garment. Which will be pressed or steamed, packed with tissue paper and hung in a bag ready for collection or delivery. Leave the garment hanging i.e. over a doorframe to avoid creasing, unless otherwise advised.
