Consultations and fittings
All consultations and fittings are by private appointment, however I can travel to you depending on where you are located or arrange a mutual meeting place. With regards to traveling out of the county a charge of 55p per mile plus expenses will be made to the client.
To make the most of our initial consultation, please come with some ideas of style detail, dress shape or colour, a picture can be a good place to start.
We do not hold a stock of garments, other than collection samples.
Your dress will be created exclusively for you.
There is a minimum ordering time of 12 weeks however this may change depending on the time of year.
Your first consultation is free of charge and you are under no obligation at this point. Please allow up to an hour for this meeting. We will discuss design, ideas, and fabrics and make recommendations on styles.
Once you are happy with the estimate, we will require a deposit to commence work on your design, pattern construction and fabric sourcing.
Your toile or basic lining construction will be made from your measurements for your first fitting. There may be up to 4 fittings where we will ensure you have a perfect fit and you are happy with each stage.
A quoted price will be given and held for 28 days and a 35% deposit will be required in this time so that work can commence. Once the deposit has been paid your quote will be fixed, however if you change the design, add embellishment or change/add more fabric, the total cost will be adjusted.
Payments can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer.
A second payment may be made halfway through the process with the balance paid on completion of the garment. If the final payment is made by cheque, we reserve the right to delay delivery/collection until the cheque has cleared.
